As the 2025 Miami International Boat Show draws to a close, we reflect on another standout year at the world’s largest boating event. This year’s show was buzzing with energy and innovation, as we had the opportunity to showcase our pioneering stabilization technology to thousands of visitors. During the show, we were spread across the Miami Beach Convention Center and at the YANMAR Mastry Stand in the Herald Plaza Venetian Marina, presenting our latest gyro stabilizers and connecting with the boating community.
Showcasing Advanced Stabilization Technology
A highlight of our time in Miami was the showcase of our SG20, SG40, and SG80 stabilization systems. Tailored to vessels ranging from 45 to 70 feet, these stabilizers are designed to dramatically reduce roll motion by up to 95%, enhancing both comfort and safety for boaters. Whether for new builds or refits, our solutions are the perfect fit for recreational powerboats and light-duty commercial vessels.
The show also gave us the chance to demonstrate how Smartgyro’s systems easily integrate with modern onboard technologies. With features like onboard serviceability, eliminating the need for costly lift-outs, our stabilization systems offer boaters not just smoother rides, but also significant cost-saving benefits.
Key Industry Trends at the Miami International Boat Show
The Miami International Boat Show was a true reflection of the changing dynamics in the U.S. boating market, and we were thrilled to be part of the conversation.
One of the biggest trends was the increasing demand for technological integration. Boat owners and manufacturers are embracing advanced onboard systems, with digital controls, enhanced navigation, and remote operation capabilities becoming standard across vessels. As boaters seek smarter, more connected experiences, stabilisation technology is playing a crucial role in improving overall performance.
"Boaters today expect a seamless, connected experience on the water, and stabilisation technology is a key part of that evolution," said Bob Walker, Sales Manager USA at Smartgyro. "Our gyro stabilizers are designed to integrate effortlessly with modern onboard systems, giving owners greater control and enhancing vessel performance."
Another key trend was luxury, comfort, and customisation, as boat owners continue to prioritise tailored solutions that enhance both functionality and personal style. Whether for new builds or refits, the focus is shifting towards high-end features that improve comfort while maintaining top-tier performance.
"We’re seeing a growing demand for personalised boating experiences, where comfort and performance go hand in hand," Walker added. "Our stabilizers are not just about reducing roll, they’re about enhancing every aspect of the journey, making time on the water more enjoyable for owners and guests alike."
Fishing Boats in the Spotlight
While traditional sportfish boats were largely absent from this year’s show, fishing enthusiasts were still well-represented with a strong presence of smaller center console fishing boats. As demand for versatile, high-performance vessels continues to rise, many of these boats featured cutting-edge technology, including integrated stabilization systems to enhance comfort during offshore excursions. Smartgyro’s stabilizers are an ideal solution for these vessels, helping anglers enjoy a more stable ride, reducing fatigue, and improving the overall fishing experience.
"With more center console fishing boats dominating the show, it’s clear that boaters are looking for stability and comfort in all conditions," Walker noted. "Smartgyro’s technology ensures that even smaller fishing boats can experience a smoother ride, whether trolling offshore or navigating choppy waters."
Looking Toward the Future
As we reflect on our experience at the Miami International Boat Show, we’re inspired by the future of Smartgyro and the entire U.S. boating market. We look forward to working further with our partners, customers, and the wider industry to push the boundaries of innovation.
Thank you to everyone who visited us at the show. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
