As the year draws to a close, we reflect on some of the highlights and innovations from what has been a busy 2025 for Smartgyro. From technical breakthroughs, to deepening partnerships and expanding presence, here are some of the standout moments that shaped the Smartgyro journey, with a sneak peak of what's on the horizon.
This year, Smartgyro connected with customers, partners, and enthusiasts at some of the world’s most prestigious marine events, including boot Düsseldorf, Miami International Boat Show, Cannes Yachting Festival, Genoa Boat Show, IBEX, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and Metstrade.
Beyond these flagship exhibitions, Smartgyro was also represented by its dealer network at major regional and international boat shows, including Palma, Sanctuary Cove, Dubai, INMEX in India, NAVDEX, ADIBS in Abu Dhabi, and many more, further reinforcing its visibility and global presence.
At Cannes Yachting Festival, six yachts equipped with Smartgyro stabilizers proudly showcased technology on board, a testament to the growing trust among shipyards, dealers and owners worldwide.

This year we welcomed the Rising Sons into the Smartgyro family, supporting them in their Gulf sportfishing season. With the Smartgyro SG60 onboard, the Rising Sons found the perfect balance between power, control, and endurance, which showed in every result onboard their Viking 58.
Their insider perspectives and behind-the-scenes content throughout the season showed the value of Smartgyro’s stabilization under the toughest sea conditions, bringing the benefit of stabilization technology closer to the community of passionate anglers and boaters.
Domestic presence was strengthened following the appointment of SV Servizi as a certified dealer in Italy (based in Livorno and Naples). With decades of marine industry experience, SV Servizi now provides installation, technical support, and after-sales service for Smartgyro. They have already completed several installations in 2025 and have many more planed for 2026.
In September, a major evolution of the SG40 model was announced following its introduction over a decade ago.
While the external footprint remains familiar, the new SG40 offers:
Easier onboard maintenance
Higher performance
Reduced weight
Lower power consumption
This update marks another step in Smartgyro’s ongoing R&D commitment to innovation and efficiency.
Smartgyro’s collaboration with Bluegame took a powerful leap forward, the BG54 (54-foot cruiser) now features the SG20 stabilizer. During sea trials, the SG20 reduced roll by 89%, while also meeting stricter acoustic and vibration standards compared to the previously installed gyro brand. The partnership shows how Smartgyro stabilization technology delivers performance and comfort on modern, luxury yachts.
While the pioneering BGM75 multihull project was developed in 2024, 2025 marked a key milestone with its official launch in the U.S. at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Featuring two SG80 gyro units (one installed in each hull) the BGM75 stabilization program showcased Smartgyro’s ability to engineer highly tailored solutions for complex vessels.
This project, refined through extensive real-world sea trials and iterative software tuning, not only delivered exceptional comfort on board but also strengthened Smartgyro’s innovation pipeline. The learnings contributed to advancements in predictive algorithms and further enhancements across the Smartgyro range, confirming the provision of flexible, high-performance stabilization while preserving core advantages such as modular installation and onboard serviceability.
In November, battery-powered integration for the SG20 gyro stabilizer was launched at Metstrade. This new version lets the stabilizer run silently off the battery, making night-time anchoring or slow cruising even more peaceful.
Successfully tested aboard a Ferretti 52, it demonstrated exceptional reliability and performance, setting the stage for future battery-powered solutions across the Smartgyro range.
