Smartgyro, a global innovator in marine stabilization, confirms its position as trusted technology partner with the installation of its SG20 gyroscopic stabilizer on the Bluegame BG54, as part of the brand’s upgraded 2.0 line.
This milestone marks a new step in the evolving collaboration between the two brands, and underscores Smartgyro’s ability to meet the highest standards in onboard comfort, design integration, and technical performance.
Part of the Sanlorenzo Group, Bluegame is globally recognized for its bold design language and innovative open-yacht philosophy. The BG54 represents a new generation in the range: a 54-foot cruiser built for independent owners who demand freedom, performance, and luxury without compromise.
Featuring high-efficiency Volvo IPS propulsion, a convertible bow dinette, a multifunctional stern transformer, and a rare full-beam master cabin, the yacht offers a layout optimized for versatility and exploration, all within a sleek, manageable platform that can be managed even without a professional crew.
Its smart and efficient architecture made it the ideal candidate for Smartgyro’s advanced stabilization system, integrating seamlessly to meet both spatial and acoustic requirements.
During sea trials conducted with the Smartgyro technical team, the SG20 stabilizer delivered an outstanding 89% roll reduction, providing next-level stability across a variety of conditions. But roll control was only part of the challenge.
Bluegame specifically requested lower vibration and noise levels, aiming to exceed those achieved with a previously installed gyro brand, raising the bar for onboard comfort, particularly in cabins and living areas. Smartgyro responded with targeted testing and tuning to meet the challenge.
“Working with a shipyard like Bluegame means going beyond performance,” said Fabrizio Stifani, R&D Manager at Smartgyro. “The BG54 represents a new era of yachts, owner-focused, efficient, and technically advanced. With the SG20 delivering exceptional 89% roll reduction and whisper-quiet operation throughout the vessel, we’re proud to align with Bluegame’s vision for the future of marine experience.”
This project highlights the synergy between Smartgyro and Bluegame two brands united by a commitment to innovation and excellence. The SG20’s seamless integration into the BG54 is a tangible example of this alignment.
“These results show that owners can enjoy smooth, silent cruising without compromising performance,” added Carlo Gazerro, Sales Manager at Smartgyro. “This latest installation is the natural continuation of our partnership with Bluegame, a collaboration that’s built on trust, shared standards, and a common drive to deliver superior onboard experience.”
The Smartgyro-stabilized BG54 was showcased to great acclaim at the Cannes Yachting Festival and will also appear at the Genoa International Boat Show, offering visitors a chance to experience firsthand the seamless combination of high performance, comfort, and gyroscopic stabilization.
